The planned arrival time is early April, so the games should be delivered to America backers by the end of the month, with Asia, Africa and Australia delivery one month later. But after we cross customs and have the games in our warehouse, we will be able to make an update with a detailed shipping plan. This should be announced in the middle of the month.
Pledge manager closes
As the games are really close to our logistic partner’s warehouse, we are closing the Pledge manager for good. We will do this when the container arrives to Savannah, so if needed, please update your delivery address now, or forever hold your peace. ;)

Hello Everyone,
The shipping is on the way, but the freezing weather is slowing down the deliveries, and messing with ship service schedules.
English edition - European Union and Europe
All the parcels are already in the UPS network, and final 66 parcels are going to be picked up by them today. We see in the comments, that some of parcels are delayed due to bad weather, but such conditions are nothing new for Hannibal, so he should manage to break into your houses soon. And now we are starting to send parcels to non-EU European countries.
If you have received your package, but something is missing, please contact us via this form: http://phalanxgames.co.uk/contact.html Please DO NOT use Kickstarter private messages for that, as this only delays the whole process.
Similarly, if you have any complains about the game itself, please use the above form for contact. If your parcel wasn’t delivered by the courier at all, due to the missing address line or any other circumstances, please contact us with your tracking number, and we will send it again.
German, French, Spanish editions - European Union
The add-ons are arriving to our partners, and soon (this week) they will be able to process with your shipments. The Spanish add-ons are currently at their warehouse, French are arriving today and German will arrive tomorrow. So now our partners will be able to pack your goods and send you your language editions.
English edition - Worldwide
The container is in the port, ready to be shipped. It was ment to be picked up by BALTIC SHEARWATER at 2nd of March, but this unfortunately didn’t happen. We requested explanation from the shipper, and have to wait for this, that is why we couldn’t answer to your questions immediately. This was our shipping timeline:
Today we were instructed by our shipper, that shipowners have the right to move the container for another sailing and do so in the absence of space or reduced time of service when there is no time to load all containers. This is completely out of our control. And they have did this, and informed us, that our new shipping calendar is:
So please keep the fingers crossed for the weather and efficient crews of the NEUENFELDE and PHILADELPHIA EXPRESS, to deliver the container to the Savannah on time. If you can, please offer up a bull as a sacrifice to Neptune. This always helps.
Bent / Broken miniatures
General’s miniatures are made from plastic soft enough to prevent them from being broken during game transportation and gameplay. If any part of the miniature is bent (this may be a case with spears etc.), please submerge it in hot water for about a minute, then remove it and adjust the shape of the miniature.
In a rare situations when a miniature is broken, please use an instant (cyanoacrylate) glue to fix it, as this is the best (and fastest way) to deal with such problems. If you can’t fix the miniature yourself, because the broken part is missing etc., please use above form for contact us to get a replacement.

Other important issues
We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused by delay of this project. It wasn't planned for. Phalanx is solely responsible for the production quality and any quality issues. The fact, that we are late with delivering the product is also solely our fault. This has been caused by two reasons: us being overly optimistic and production and distribution difficulties explained in the updates. We have decided that quality has priority.
However, we cannot be hold responsible for activities and decisions by our partners. Delivery of non-English edition games to the backers and their further distribution to the retail is beyond our control. So are any issues resulting from this. It has been Feuerland decision to start retail distribution in Germany right away. Our other partners do not follow this example. This has been MQO decision in Spain to make a special offer to their customers and it is up to them to fulfill the promise. That's in a way a cost, of those local edition being made available to you. There would be none if not involvement of our partners, who did a great job getting the localization done for those of you, who wanted the game in their language.
This is us, Phalanx, who are in control of the distribution of English language edition and it won't be available in retail before it gets delivered to the partners. We have been also assured by Ares, our US distributor that they will observe this policy. With regard to games being offered on the internet at the price lower than at the campaign while including the two expansions - this is an obvious mistake by the retail, that Ares has advised the retailers to correct.
Finally, let me once again express thanks to all of you, who decided to help us publish this great game. And let me once again stress that without you, the game just won't be there. This is as simple as it sounds. It won't be there at all. You made it happen. There could be many motives behind someone taking part in the Kickstarter campaign. We were trying to make it clear from the start, that this campaign was a Kickstarter in the true sense: it was done, in order to finance the product being created, published and delivered and not as a pre-order. If this has not been clear for you and you thought of our campaign as yet another online store, we are sorry for your disappointment.

Finally. After so many turns and tweaks in our logistic system and procedures we have started shipping the games. It took longer than estimated as we had to deal with a few quite unexpected obstacles. We are sorry this hasn’t been done earlier.
European Union. English Edition.
The parcels are now being shipped and over 600 has been handled to the UPS. We expect to release the rest by the end of the week. That means, all those in the EU, who are getting English Edition should be getting the games in their boxes by the end of the next week. Please expect a standard UPS tracking info.
Please note that the Giant Playing Mats will be delivered in separate parcels!
USA and the rest of the World. English and French Edition.
Below paragraph applies also to the shipment of French games to Canada. Just to Canada (yeah, there are French players in Canada!).
The container is packed and will reach the port before the weekend. Then there is some procedures in the port (legal and sanitary requirements etc) and off we go. It is scheduled to be loaded onto the ship on March 1st. As soon as we know, we will release the ship’s name, so you can track its movement. It is quite fun thing to do, we’ve learned when tracking our games being shipped from China. The best part was when they were closing to the Horn of Africa. We were watching Captain Phillips that day.
Now. We have changed the shipping partner in the USA. That’s one of the reasons of the delay. By the end of March, the games shall arrive to the warehouse of Quartermaster Logistics. They will start the shipping right away, both for US and for the rest of the World. As soon as we have more details, we will let you know. The process is being set up right now.
French, German, Spanish Edition shipping
All the games and expansions have been delivered to our partners’ warehouses. The add-ons will reach them next week. Our partners take all the responsibility for shipping their language editions, so please get in touch with them directly to learn your delivery dates. You should have their contact details - if not, check the campaign pages.
Italian Edition.
Italian Edition is not ready yet. By now you should have received a newsletter from Cranio regarding the game shipment. Cranio jumped on board of this campaign at the very last minute and they had considerably less time to finish all the localisation work, so the delay is quite understandable. Or maybe that was some remaining Punic agents, paying back for destroying Carthage? Please contact Cranio if you have any questions.

What would fit into a 40ft container?

Salve,
Last week we have picked up from the printers the whole printrun of English edition of Hannibal & Hamilcar. Today the shipping starts.
The shipping plan for English edition is the following:
First a 40ft container will be filled with games, to shipped the Atlantic. That 40ft box is quite spacious. One can store there all his belongings...
or actually live inside, comfortably…
...or hide inside an operational battery of CLUB-K missiles.
Then, the goods will then sail to an undisclosed port in the Americas (why undisclosed? Scroll down to find out) and then to Ship Naked’s warehouse, where the individual parcels will be assembled and shipped worldwide, using their proven logistics chain. Then the rest of the printrun will be sent to the Ares Games warehouse, to allow worldwide retail distribution.
In a meantime, the shipping in Europe will proceed. We will ship English edition games directly to the backers. We will use a proven logistic operator, your games will be shipped by UPS courier services. We have ordered the packaging material and now preparing a final shipping list. In a next 1-2 weeks we will close the shipping list in the Pledge Manager, so please check and update your shipping address NOW if needed. This is the last call!
The Spanish, French, German and Italian editions will be shipped by our Partners. The games are now in the final assembly, that shall take 2-3 weeks from now.
After we the games are shipped to our European backers, we will open retail distribution there. Please contact us directly for the retail offer for the English edition and our Partners for their language editions.
We are doing our best to release the games as fast as possible, but as always - we want to assure the best quality above all. So please, be patient for that last few weeks and in the meantime, read the rules and scenarios posted on the BGG, so you can start playing right after the game arrives. There is plenty to keep you entertained for a while.
