Hello Everyone,
Summer holidays are just about to end and here we are with another update.
The box, the game boards and the counters are already at the printers. Today we will be sending out also the cards. What remains are the books and charts. They will be sent later as they are printed at the very end. So, this is exactly the time, we are in position to share the English edition Rulebook, Playbook and Scenario Book. Your comments are welcome.

We have started the production of the dice and we are waiting for the factory to deliver another set of miniature samples, with altered colours. In a meantime the molds have passed the test and everything is fine (all the details are there!), just a few small corrections were needed.
Below you can see a few photos of plastic samples from these tests. Don’t be bothered with the colour of the miniatures - this is a test and not the final colour!

Hello Everyone,
We are moving forward with layout and production, so there are some news that we would like to share with you.
Here it is, finally. It took a lot of time to finalize the layout, but it was worth every minute, as we are happy with the every detail of the board (except already spotted typo).
Here they are: large & heavy, as we always wanted them. The symbols are easy to read, and the corners aren’t rounded too much. It’s enough to hold them in your palm to understand why call this game edition “Premium”.
Miniatures tray is ready for production. Now we are OK with the dimensions (280x280x35 mm), and it fits into the box perfectly. Dedicated space and a closing lid should keep every miniature safe during the transport and make the game set-up as easy as possible.
Miniatures colours visualization
We have made the final decision on miniatures colours. Carthaginian figurines will be produced in gray-blue, and Roman brick-red. It was quite easy to pick the colour for the Carthaginians, not so easy with the Romans, red is a tricky colour and turns pink if not deep enough. We will still make a trial production run to check the colours and then present the results. Here is a visualization.
Next week (15-16 of August) your cards are going to be charged by the Backerkit (If you have already paid with PayPal, please ignore this).
Almost all of you (96%) have already done the backer’s survey. It is a great result, thank you! If you haven’t done this already, please do, as we won’t be able to deliver you your order without it!

No news is a great news they say. So, it is probably needless to say, we are moving forward with the Hannibal & Hamilcar publication project. There is a lot of work yet to be done which means extremely short holidays this year. So, while you are baking in the sun, the teams in France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and the UK are doing their best to deliver the game on time.
The time has come, however, for a production update as quite a lot has happened since the last time we have been in touch. Let’s start with the minis.
Resin samples of miniatures
The minis are so pretty, we have decided to make a pro photo session to be able to present them in their full beauty. Please pay attention on the sculpt and not the colour. Those are made of resin - the pre-production of plastic copies are next step.

Please also have a sneak peek at how they look on the prototype board. We are very happy with the fact, they are larger than 32 mm scale models. They serve the purpose for which they were designed. The number values are clear and easy to see too!
Miniatures colours
As you know, there was some hesitation on our side regarding the final colour of the minis. Thank you for your feedback and answers in the poll. We have decided to keep the things as we promised during the campaign, as this is fair from all the points of view. So we keep red and blue miniatures, but we will work on the colours to make them as good as possible.
Storage tray
Sample miniatures ready, we are able to work on the storage tray for them. The prototype has been prepared, but we need to make it a little bit smaller, to fit into the game box. We are planning for a container with a lid attached, to keep the minis in place. This is how it looks now:
The rulebook is being given final touches and we were able to create a specification for the printing house. We therefore had to close the components list. Please find it below:

Worldwide Distribution

Production update
The miniature samples have been produced, and they look gorgeous! We are very happy with the results and have ordered the production already. Here are photos of pre-production samples:
The only thing that bothers our mind is the colour of the miniatures. Do you prefer strong but artificial red / blue miniatures or maybe more natural colours like ivory / marble / ebony? Here is a poll - please let us know!
We have finished the layout of the Strategy Cards. Now they are in our partner’s hands for localization.
Bonus cards
Having so many international partners we had to change the layout of the cards on the printing sheets. This gave us room for 8 extra cards. We could trash them, but this is not in our style. So we have ordered extra paintings to illustrate them, and you will receive 7 extra strategy cards for Hannibal / Hamilcar and 1 extra leader card for Hamilcar! We hope you like our approach.
Please note that if you want to sleeve all of your cards, please add an extra pack of sleeves in the PM, as now we have 220 cards in the base game and 3 in each of the expansions.

Italian edition

Salve,
A legendary cry Hannibal ad portas gets a new meaning today, as we have just signed a contract for Italian edition of HANNIBAL & HAMILCAR. Cranio Creations (www.craniocreations.it) was impressed by the strong support of Italian backers, no to mention equally strong pressure we were receiving to have this game published in Italian. Well, we are also glad, as it would feel a bit awkward if we couldn’t get this done. So, thank you very much Cranio Creations and the legion of Italian supporters.
The Italian edition will be released along all other editions of the game (no later than Essen Spiel 2017).
This new language edition is the reason behind the delay of opening the pledge manager. We wanted to include Italian edition in the manager, with adequate shipping prices for that language version of the game. That is why you haven’t received the invitation to the pledge manager yet, but this should happen later this week. Thank you for your patience.
Production update: We have finished work on the miniatures. The 3D objects are now prepared for pre-production. We hope to be able to present some sample photos soon.
The English language cards are being put together, we have now all the art in place. As soon as they are ready, all the partners will receive them for translation and DTP. After opening the pledge manager we will be able to estimate demand on specific add-ons and then we can start the production.
